Knock Down the House

On the plane I watched Knock Down the House. This is a powerful and important documentary that gives regular everyday people hope that change is possible. We watched women all over the country give everything they had to win Congressional seats. Grassroots campaigns and the hard working people behind them give me pause. We get a glimpse of all the people fighting for healthcare, fair wages, coal miners, women’s rights, and all the issues that need to be voiced.   I kept with the theme and watched On the Basis of Sex, a movie about Ruth Bader Ginsburg. I liked it. Not thrilled, but I learned something. I remember seeing Ginsburg speak once. Quiet and powerful.
