Thoughts

I can see why people from the States move to Mexico. It is a beautiful country. We spend the mornings in Spanish classes. The afternoons vary. I'm so grateful for this experience and I hope I actually am fluent by the end of the month. The only painful thing are the mosquitoes, but citronella, grapefruit and lemongrass essential oils are keeping them at bay most of the day.  The heat reminds me of Jamaica so the Caribbean summer is in full effect.

I painted in ink today. It felt good. As I tell my friends that incorporating healthy hobbies into my life has saved it from anxiety. I fight less with those who anger me. I talk about it to get it out in the open, but I get better every day learning that my anger poisons my well being. I still get angry about the injustices in the world, but I find that managing my life day to day is key to good health. Now just exercising more. There's a 6 am swim team I can join but it conflicts with getting my youngest ready on school mornings. I'm trying to figure things out. A workout before work would be good.

I had a dream that Buju Banton called me Lyrics Woman because I sing along to so many songs going all the way back to the 20s. I may not know all the words, but I have an eclectic music collection in my head. I also dreamed that Lil Wayne said no more old negro in the fields suffering. He was riding this massive motorcycle, just nodding his head that times have changed.
I used to dream about the Obamas a lot when they were in the news more. Barry was cool. A good friend in need. Michelle was kind and motherly and protective. In my dreams they are family. I missed them when they were no longer in the news cycle.  I'm not the only one I'm sure.
Off to bed. Early morning tomorrow.
